THQ must be expecting really big things from their upcoming FPS, Metro: Last Light. To help announce it, they have released this live-action short film titled, “Enter the Metro.”
THQ gave a little more detail to the game:
“The Moscow Metro. A monumental feat of Soviet engineering, with a dark secondary purpose – to serve as a refuge in the event of an atomic attack. As the Cold War thawed and the threat of nuclear annihilation seemed to fade, this purpose was forgotten – except by a few, waiting for the signal, ready to open the vaults… the last refuge for the remnants of mankind.”
So Metro: Last Light is a first person shooter set in a post apocalyptic Russia. You play a guy, that used to be a baby in this sequel to Metro 2033 (which I’ve never heard of). That’s pretty much all I got so far. I’m sure we can expect a lot more at E3 in a couple of weeks, but THQ must really consider this to be a big deal if they spent the time and money to make this awesome film to promote it. Here is some cover art too while we’re at it:
